The project

This project produced a black lacquered steel shelving unit designed specifically to take pride of place behind the bar of a hospitality venue. The whole assembly was developed from the real dimensions of the space, making the most of the width and height of the wall to achieve a lot of storage without looking heavy. The internal layout was worked out around the products the client uses day to day, with compartments sized for different formats of bottles, glasses, tumblers and service items, so every shelf answers a specific need and makes the staff's daily work easier. As a distinctive touch, the upper centre section carries the name of the venue laser cut into the metal, with integrated lighting that reinforces the identity of the place and turns the shelving into a striking decorative feature. To make transport, handling and installation easier, the structure was built as two independent modules, which simplifies assembly and allows perfect alignment once fixed to the wall.
